Operation “Team Jim” – Getting Jim Home to Seattle from Miami
James Pewitt, 51 years old, was vacationing with his wife, Elizabeth, in Miami when we got the call from their son, Colin. He requested a flight for James, who had unexpectedly suffered a stroke. His body became immobile, and he was suffering from bleeding in the brain. The family requested that our medics escort him on a commercial flight to make sure he could get home asap. We worked with the family to get them the best price and airline so James could fly direct and comfortably on the date the family had requested. Our medics Danny Thomas and Chris Watson made sure he was transported safely, and provided the care James needed while he was on the flight. James was successfully escorted by our team from Broward Health North to Miami airport and then arrived safely at Cherry Hill Hospital in Seattle , Washington. The family (his stepson Colin and wife Elizabeth ) sent us this pic to show James before his flight to bring him smiles before he was about to board his long ride home. Thanks, Team Jim! We’re happy we could be part of his successful trip home.
